Muhammad Idrees Ahmad is a Lecturer in Digital Journalism at the University of Stirling in Scotland and a co-editor of PULSE. He is a contributing editor at the Los Angeles Review of Books,[1] a columnist at The New Arab[2] and the author of "The Road to Iraq: The Making of a Neoconservative War".[3]

In January 2012, Dr Ahmad won his appeal against a UK Border Agency bid to deport him after his bank balance slipped below £800. He was finally granted his “post-study work visa” after a judge in Glasgow found against the Home Office decision. His supporters have described it as a victory for common sense.
