Lisa Osofsky is an American-British lawyer who became Director of the UK's Serious Fraud Office (SFO) on 28 August 2018.
Early life
Lisa Osofsky has dual American and British nationality. She earned a bachelor's degree from Amherst College, and a juris doctor from Harvard Law School.
Career
Lisa Osofsky worked for Goldman Sachs.[2] She also worked the FBI as deputy general counsel.[3] She was then managing director and European head of investigations at Exiger, whom she joined in 2003.[4]
In June 2018, it was announced that Osofsky would succeed the SFO's interim director Mark Thompson (who was standing in since David Green left) on 3 September,[5][6] although she in fact took over on 28 August.[7]
Personal life
Lisa Osofsky is married to fellow lawyer Marc Wasserman.[8]
In October 2017 she took out an HSBC mortgage to buy a £3.3m flat in Kensington.[9]
