Victor Bout is an arms dealer who was caught in a sting operation in Thailand. In 2017, his attorneys appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.[1]
Extradition and sentencing
After being arrested in Thailand, he was extradited to the US where on 5 April 2012 he was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment by a U.S. judge.
