Swedish Defence Research Agency (Swedish:Totalförsvarets forskningsinstitut, FOI; literal translation: Total Defence Research Institute) is a government agency in Sweden for defence research.[1]
School ownership
In August 2022, FOI was commissioned to do a study on foreign ownership and foreign investments in Swedish education. The assignment covers all school forms within the school system, universities and public education. "Today, there is nothing to prevent schools from being owned or bought up by actors who represent a foreign power. Against this background, we are now giving the Total Defense Research Institute the task of surveying foreign ownership in our schools", said Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson.[2]
