Sasha Abramsky [1] is a British-born freelance journalist and author who as of 2023 lives in the United States. His work has appeared in The Nation, The Atlantic Monthly, New York, The Village Voice, and Rolling Stone.[2]

He is a senior fellow at the American liberal think tank Demos,[3] and a lecturer in the University of California, Davis's University Writing Program.[2]

He has received grants from the Open Society Foundations for writing about the US prison system and poverty.[4]
