Scenario planning also scenario analysisis the creation of imagined scenarios that can happen in the future by a think-tank or other institutions as part of strategic planning to make flexible long-term plans. It is an adaptation and generalization of classic methods used by military intelligence.
It may include planning and preparation for:
- Disasters
- Pandemics
- Climate change
- Acts of terrorism
- Attacks with biological weapons
- Attacks with chemical weapons
