Håkon Haugli is the CEO of Innovation Norway, the government's most important instrument for innovation and development of Norwegian enterprises and industry.[1] He is a member of the Trilateral Commission.
Career
His prior work experience includes Gjensidige (insurance) and McKinsey & Co. He has held a number of board positions and holds a law degree from the University of Oslo.[2]
From 2009 to 2013 he was a Member of Parliament, representing the Labour Party and the Oslo District.
Despite no longer being a parliamentarian, Haugli was a member of the Storting's Control Committee for Intelligence, Surveillance and Security Service (EOS Committee) in the period 2014-19, and of the Storting's Control Committee for Intelligence, Surveillance and Security Service (EOS Committee) in the period 2014-19.[3]
He was then Managing Director of Abelia, the business association for Norwegian knowledge and technology based enterprises. The association is part of the Norwegian Confederation of Enterprise (NHO).[4]
He became leader of Innovation Norway in May 2019.
