The British Ambassador to Germany is the United Kingdom's foremost diplomatic representative in the Federal Republic of Germany, and in charge of the UK's diplomatic mission in Germany. During the Cold War, Britain had an ambassador both in West Germany and East Germany.
Between 1949 and 1955, the British-occupied West Germany was covered by a High Commissioner.
