Williamsburg is city in Virginia, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 15,425.[1]
Colonial Williamsburg
Colonial Williamsburg is a a living-history museum in the historic district of Williamsburg, and a pet project of the Rockefeller family.
Starting in 1927, John D. Rockefeller Jr., the wealthy son of the founder of Standard Oil, started buying houses in the colonial-era town, on suggestion from reverend W. A. R. Goodwin. Of the approximately 500 buildings reconstructed or restored, 88 are labelled original.[2]
