The United States Ambassador to Switzerland is the United States' highest diplomatic representative in Switzerland.
Activities
From 2005, academic Daniele Ganser, who had previously written NATO's Secret Armies: Operation GLADIO and Terrorism in Western Europe, started publicly questioning the official narrative around 911. For this, the then US Ambassador, Carol J. Urban criticized Ganser in Swiss newspapers.[1]
Ganser was forced to leave ETH Zurich in 2006, and also had to leave the Universities of Zurich and Basel because of his research subjects. The dismissal from ETH was due to a direct intervention of the US ambassador, he said[2]
