The Minister for Business and Industry, (Swedish:näringsminister), formally cabinet minister and head of the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise, is a member and minister of the Government of Sweden and is appointed by the Prime Minister. The minister is responsible for policies related to enterprise, industry and innovation.
The Minister for Energy (Swedish: Energiministern) is a cabinet minister within the Swedish Government and appointed by the Prime Minister of Sweden. The energy issues have been sorted under different ministries and are today located at the Ministry of climate and business. The minister is responsible for issues regarding energy, the energy market and the development of renewable energy.[1]
History
Until 1991, the office was named minister of industry.[2] However, the official name since then is minister has been especially responsible for business, industry, enterprise and innovation. Since 2014, the minister has been especially responsible for business, industry, enterprise and innovation. This includes small and medium-sized businesses, state-owned enterprises and industrial policy.[3]
