The Organise Corbyn Inspired Socialist Alliance (OCISA) is a political activist group that was founded on 15 February 2023, the day that Leader of the Labour Party Sir Keir Starmer was reported in The Guardian as saying Jeremy Corbyn could not stand as the Labour Party candidate in his Islington North constituency:

“Let me be very clear, Jeremy Corbyn will not stand at the next General Election as a Labour Party candidate.
“What I said about the party changing, I meant, and we are not going back, and that is why Jeremy Corbyn will not stand as a Labour candidate at the next General Election.”[1]

Corbyn response

The Guardian published this response by Jeremy Corbyn:

“Any attempt to block my candidacy is a denial of due process, and should be opposed by anybody who believes in the value of democracy.
“At a time when the government is overseeing the worst cost of living crisis in a generation, this is a divisive distraction from our overriding goal: to defeat the Conservative Party at the next General Election.”[2]

OCISA response

Holborn & St Pancras

For this reason OCISA is set up to mount a candidate in any forthcoming parliamentary election in the constituency of Holborn and St Pancras currently held by the traitorous Kier Starmer. The OCISA candidate will be chosen by OCISA group members and funded by the public to stand against all parties in the Holborn and St Pancras constituency.

The OCISA group is Socialist and aims to implement the 2017 Labour Party election manifesto "For the Many, Not the Few" through a concerted campaign against the current leadership of the Labour Party.[3]

Possible candidate

According to Not the Andrew Marr Show host Crispin Flintoff, one name that is being touted by many as a possible candidate is comedy legend Alexei Sayle, who lives in Starmer's constituency.

Actual candidate

On 11 February 2024, OCISA selected Corruption Watch UK director Andrew Feinstein, a Jewish former South African MP and adviser to Nelson Mandela, to stand against Starmer in Holborn and St Pancras at the UK/General election/2024. Feinstein now lives in the seat.[4]
