A missile is a self-propelled weapon designed to deliver an explosive payload (or bomb) to a designated target. Missiles can be guided or unguided and are typically launched from platforms such as ground-based launchers, ships, submarines, or aircraft. Missiles can vary in size, range, and type, including ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles, each designed for specific operational roles.
