Death
Crabb disappeared during a difficult dive into Portsmouth Harbour underneath the Soviet cruiser Ordzhonikidze.[1] When UK Prime minister Anthony Eden discovered about this MI6 operation, he remarkeded in the House of Commons: "I think it is necessary, in the special circumstances of this case, to make it clear that what was done was done without the authority or knowledge of Her Majesty's Ministers. Appropriate disciplinary steps are being taken." He then demanded the resignation of the [[MI6 Director-General, Major-General John Sinclair and replaced him with Dick White, from MI5, in what was perceived as a snub to MI6.
