She has a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and a master's degree in immunology.[4][5] Her thesis "Dynamical Systems Analysis of HIV Immunopathogenesis and the Effects of Antiretroviral Treatment Interruption" can be found on the website of the Memorial University of Newfoundland.[6] She did a postdoc at the Technion.[7][8][9]
