Admiral Harold Page Smith was a United States Navy four-star admiral.[1] He attended the 1964 Bilderberg meeting as Commander in Chief of the United States Atlantic Fleet.

Military career

Smith attended the United States Naval Academy and graduated in its class of 1924. He served aboard USS Idaho, USS Arizona, USS Nevada, USS Procyon, USS Farragut, USS Marblehead, USS Stewart, and USS Missouri.[2]

He was Commander in Chief, United States Naval Forces Europe/Commander in Chief of the United States Naval Forces in the Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean from 1960 to 1963

He was Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic/Commander in Chief of Allied Command Atlantic/Commander in Chief of United States Atlantic Fleet from 1963 to 1965.

A year after this meeting, the post of GATT/Director-General was set up, and given Eric Wyndham White, who attended the '64 meeting. Several subsequent holders have been Bilderberg insiders, only 2 are not known to have attended the group.
