The Counter Terrorist Group (CTG) is an grouping of intelligence agencies from 30 European countries - all 28 European Union members, Norway and Switzerland.[1]

Official narrative
The Harvard University website reports that the CTG "specifically focuses on Islamic extremist terrorism".[2]
Origins
It was spun off from the Club de Berne in 2002.
Leadership
Leadership in the group is rotational on an equal footing with EU Presidency.[3]
Virtual Platform
Under the chairmanship of the Dutch intelligence agency AIVD the group is creating a virtual platform to improve exchanging intelligence on "terrorism" between European agencies.[4] According to the AIVD this process should have been completed by July 1, 2016.
Influence over the EU
CTG generates 'threat assessments' for consumption by EU policy makers.[3]
