Samsung is a South Korean based technology company.

In Italy in 2018, an antitrust watchdog fined Samsung 5,000,000 Euros for deliberately slowing down their phones through updates, to encourage people to buy a newer model.[1] Apple has the same approach to encourage users to switch to a newer model.[2][3]
