David McOwat is a member of the British influence operation Institute for Statecraft.

Biography

David McOwat worked for the MoD MB from 1988 to 1996 as a scientific advisor to ACDS (Concepts), as AD (Science) Joint Systems, and as Customer for Systems and Human Sciences in the Corporate Research Programme. He initiated the UK Synthetic Environments programme. In 1996 he joined Defence Evaluation and Research Agency as a technical consultant, moving to Defence Science and Technology Laboratory in 2001 to work on knowledge and information agency.
