Walter Thomas Wren was a British industrialist. He attended the 1957 February Bilderberg meeting.

Career

Born at the turn of the century into a poor, working class family, he joined Chubb & Sons Lock and Safe Co as an office boy, but soon graduated from polishing their name plate in St James' to acting as a representative in India. From Chubb he went to Bell's Asbestos and Engineering Supplies Ltd where, in 1929, he was put in charge of selling the very first Aga ovens in Britain, and such was his success that when Bell became Aga Heat Ltd, Wren became its managing director.[1]

W.T.Wren became director of Allied Ironfounders heating products in 1935.[2]

In 1952, when he opened a foundry in Melbourne, Australia, he was assistant managing director of Allied Iron Founders.[3]
