The Berlin Security Conference 2024 was held November 19-20, 2024, in Berlin, Germany, bringing together "key political, military, and industry leaders from across the globe to discuss pressing security and defence issues."[1]

Activities

"At various expert panels, the experts discussed topics such as the militarization of outer space, "homeland defense", the "use of AI in the military", "women in international security" and how to optimally "prepare the air forces for war".[2]

Timing

The timing coincided with the United States carrying out attacks on Russia with long-range missiles through their Ukrainian proxies.[3]

Attendants

Only the speakers are known. The participants (maybe 140) are not disclosed, except to tell that they consist of "members of national parliaments and the European Parliament, as well representatives of the European institutions and NATO. Foreign and Defence Ministers, Ambassadors, Generals, Admirals and armaments industryindustry representatives".[4][5]

Participants included Chiefs of Defence of Germany, Sweden, Finland, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, Estonia, and The Netherlands, and many other military leaders.[1]
