---|---|
Aaron Barr is a former cybersecurity professional. Throughout his career, he worked in the field of cybersecurity, specializing in threat intelligence and digital forensics. As CEO of HBGary Federal he gained prominence for wanting to infiltrate 'Anonymous' and unmask their leadership by attempting to conduct research via the social networks like Facebook, Twitter and others.[1][2][3]
Anonymous, in response to his claims, launched a retaliatory campaign. The group targeted the company's systems, breached their security, and leaked a substantial amount of sensitive company data to the public. The incident resulted in a considerable setback for Barr and HBGary Federal.[4][5][6]
