Marketed as an anti-tooth decay improvement, there is increasing evidence that the fluoridation of water may have a range of deleterious effects upon population, probably lowers IQ and may not have much affect on tooth decay.

Official narrative

This used to be that fluoride was safe and effective at preventing dental caries, and governments around the world have for decades put fluoride in drinking water. However, as of 2016, this narrative appears to be in the process of changing.

Toxicity

Fluoride in drinking water has been shown to be strongly correlated with later ADHD prevalance, and high levels of fluoride are correlated with fluorosis and lower IQ. In 2016, it was classified as a neurotoxin in The Lancet. Extensive research on the history of water fluoridation was done with the book 'The Fluoride Deception' by Christopher Bryson.
