Start2008
A bogus conspiracy about the government storing over-sized coffins for the population.

FEMA coffins were discussed after the release of short video clips in 2008[1][2] (or earlier),[3] which show a small group of people walking about in a storage area where multiple staples of what they say are coffins, are located. They describe them, lay in them and speculate that these are ordered by the US government for mass burials. The story is uncritically picked up by Infowars and others.[4][5][6][7][8]

Funeral vault

The purpose was explained by other bloggers and websites.[9][10] These plastic containers are so called "casket liners" or "funeral vaults" with the purpose to fill up a grave site with more volume than a coffin alone, to prevent the surrounding earth to brake in and to protect the coffin from water.[11]
