Robert Fico is a Slovak politician. As prime minister, he announced that Slovakia would be launching an investigation into the previous administration's "COVID response".[1]

Robert Fico shut a Czech "anti-corruption" unit.[2]
Assassination Attempt
On May 15 2024, Fico was shot down after a barrage of bullets fired by one assailant in the Slovakian town of Handlová, his assailant arrested on the spot.[3]
Fico survived another assassination attempt on October 6, 2024. In an interview, he said there was an armed person in the crowd at an event in Dukla, Poland, who wanted to attack him.[4]
