David "Dadi" Barnea is since June 2021 acting Director of the Mossad; since 2019 he worked closely with his predecessor Yossi Cohen on "all of Mossad's top ops".[1] According to military.com in October 2021 his focus would be: "assassination and sabotage operations against the key figures and facilities of Iran's nuclear program, which Israel regards as an existential threat".[2] In September 2021 the Mossad killed one of Iran's top nuclear scientists with a remotely operated machine gun.[3]
