The Chief of Government's Media Department was Press Secretary for the Afghan central government during the US/NATO occupation.
Dawa Khan Menapal, the head of the Afghan government’s media information center, was confirmed by police to have been assassinated by the Taliban in August 2021.[1] He was the top media officer in Afghanistan and a supporter of the governmet.[2]
