Fernando Manuel Barbosa Faria de Oliveira is a Portuguese manager who has held several positions in Portuguese governments. He attended the 1987 Bilderberg meeting before becoming Secretary of State for Finance and Treasure, and the 1993 Bilderberg meeting as Minister of Commerce.
Education
Faria de Oliveira took a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the Technical University of Lisbon in 1965
Career
He held several positions in Portuguese governments[1].
- He was secretary of State for foreign trade between September 1980 and June 1983.
- He was assistant Secretary of State to the Deputy Prime Minister between February and November 1985
- Secretary of State for Finance and Treasury from June 1988 to May 1989.
- Assistant Secretary of State and finance, May 1989-January 1990.
- Minister of Commerce and Tourism between April 1990 and November 1995
Since 2012, he has been president of the Portuguese banking association,[2] and sits on many boards.[1]
