Description | A temporary Nightingale Hospital built in Bristol to deal with the Omicron variant. |
The Bristol Covid surge hub is being built to deal with COVID-19 patients.[1] Located in the grounds of Southmead Hospital, the site will hold 100 patients.[2] The authorities are building it in expectation of a huge Omicron surge.[3]
The North Bristol NHS Trust is one of eight locations across England to be on standby.
