Klaus Eberwein was a Haitian government official and businessman. He died in July 2017, a week before he was due to testify before the Haitian Senate’s Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission about the Clinton Foundation.[1]

Career
From May 2012 to February 2015 he was the head of the Fund d'assistance économique et social (the FAES) the Haitian government's department for economic development. During his ministry as a government official, Eberwein was accused of fraud and corruption, particularly as regards his method of disbursing donations to Haiti after the earthquake there.
Death
Eberwein was found in a motel room shot in his head. According to the local physician who examined the body after the death, it was probably a suicide.Cite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag
