Antimicrobial resistance Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) occurs when microbes evolve mechanisms that protect them from antibiotics (antimicrobials), which are drugs used to treat infections.
While it is a genuine problem, by 2024 there were signs it was exaggerated in corporate media campaigns for deep political purposes, in order to push nefarious "treatments".
Official narrative
In 2023, the WHO concluded that "Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the top global public health and development threats. There is an inadequate research and development pipeline in the face of rising levels of resistance, and urgent need for additional measures to ensure equitable access to new and existing vaccines, diagnostics and medicines."[1]
