A US information activist with a background in corporate media

Benjamin Swann is a US television news anchor, political commentator and journalist. He has worked as a sports producer, news journalist and producer, and managing editor on network affiliates, FOX, and RT America of the Russian state-owned TV network RT. He received a number of television journalism awards by 2009.

Swann created the series Reality Check to address topics such as Pizzagate, and those surrounding the events at Aurora and Sandy Hook as well as 9-11. He has also questioned the use of chemical weapons in the Syrian Civil War, the role of the United States in developing of ISIL, and the possible vaccine autism connection.

His employer demanded that he take down his internet media channel and most of his social media sites in 2017. He was fired in 2018 from CBS affiliate WGCL-TV in Atlanta, Georgia for pursuing his Reality Check show and continuing to investigate Pizzagate.

Background

Swann was homeschooled with nine brothers and sisters in El Paso, Texas, and earned a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Brigham Young University in 1993, at the age of 15, and a master's degree in History from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 1994, at the age of 16.[1][2]

Activities

Reality Check

In 2015, he was hired by CBS affiliate WGCL-TV in Atlanta, Georgia.[3] He was suspended in January 2017 for running a story about Pizzagate, reinstated after he took down his Truth in Media and Reality Check sites,[4][5] but then fired in 2018, after which he relaunched Reality Check.[6] Starting in 2018 he began publishing pieces for the Liberty Nation website.[7]

Isegoria

Swann launched the Isegoria social media platform,[8], named from the ancient Greek meaning "Equality of all in freedom of speech".[9]
