Chemical warfare has been used extensively starting in the 20 century with WW1 with the use of Mustard gas in the trenches of Europe. The Japanese used them in WW2. Then again in Vietnam in the Sixties with napalm and agent orange used by the Americans. It relies on the use of agents toxic to humans, livestock and crops
