"A dedicated, nimble private-sector team of experts embedded in the Government to drive forward the development of vaccines for the UK and internationally."

Own words

Kate Bingham, chair of the group wrote in The Lancet that "The Vaccine Taskforce was the brainchild of Sir Patrick Vallance, the UK Government's chief scientific advisor, who saw the need for a dedicated, nimble private-sector team of experts embedded in the Government to drive forward the development of vaccines for the UK and internationally."[1]

Membership

Members include John Bell,[2] who attended the 2013 Bilderberg. When interviewed by John Snow in 2020 he stated that “These [COVID-19] vaccines are unlikely to completely sterilize a population. They're very likely to have an effect which works in a percentage. Say, 60% or 70%.”[3]

Kate Bingham was appointed chair of the group on 16 May 2020 but stepped down after "criticism when it was reported that Ms Bingham, a former venture capitalist and the wife of Jesse Norman, a Tory minister, had used the services of eight consultants to advise her on media strategy."[4]
