Ann McLaughlin Korologos, formerly known as Ann Dore McLaughlin, was an American politician. She was the United States Secretary of Labor from 1987 to 1989.

Pan Am 103 bombing

From 1989 to 1990, Ann McLaughlin Korologos chaired the President's Commission on Aviation Security and Terrorism which was established by President George H. W. Bush "to investigate the events surrounding the destruction of Pan Am Flight 103 on 21 December 1988."[1]

Reflecting on the PCAST report two decades after the event, Ann Korologos said:

"We were the commission to investigate not who did it but how it was done, where the breakdowns were in security.
"We pointed out that the country needs the political will and the moral courage to go find the terrorists where they are.
"The families have continued to live on that report and what our recommendations are.
