The Chinese Ambassador to Australia is the official representative of the People's Republic of China to the Commonwealth of Australia.
Overview
Australia swapped recognition of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for the People's Republic of China in 1972.[1]
In 2022, PM Scott Morrison refused to meet China's new ambassador[2], at a time when Australia committed fully to AUKUS military pact with the United States and Britain.
