PirateLeaks was created by the Czech Pirate party to offer a service similar to Wikileaks but focused on opposing corruption in the Czech Republic and government.

Activities

The first published leaked documents came from the Ministry of Culture and the Ústí Region.[1] The documents from the preparation of the amendment to the copying act could have had a national impact, the documents about the suspicious purchase of hospital equipment in Ústí nad Labem were an example of regional topics.[2] In April 2011, the server published a list of debtors of the Czech Consolidation Agency, which registered claims for approximately 20 billion crowns against almost 500 entities.[3]
