Dawn Butler (born 3 November 1969) is a British Labour Party politician serving as Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities since 2017, and has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Brent Central since the 2015 UK General Election. Butler served as MP for Brent South from the 2005 General Election until 2010.
Dawn Butler is standing for election as Deputy Leader of the Labour Party in the contest to succeed Tom Watson who resigned on 6 November 2019.[1]
