Søren Skou is a Danish businessman who has been the CEO of one of the largest shipping companies in the world, A.P. Moller-Maersk, since June 2016.
Career
In December 2014, Skou was named one of the most influential individuals in the international shipping industry according to the Lloyds List 2014.
Skou has worked for the company since 1983. He previously worked in the Maersk tanker department, before he became a partner of A.P. Moller-Maersk in 2007, and has been a member of the Executive Board of the company since 2001 before his promotion to the role of the CEO.
He is a member of the European Round Table of Industrialists.
