Barry Jennings (eyewitness, 9-11/Untimely death, 9-11/Whistleblower) | |
---|---|
Barry Jennings, minutes after being rescued from WTC7, telling ABC News that an explosion had trapped him in the building. | |
Died | 19 August, 2008 |
A key 9/11 witness whose testimony contradicted the 9/11 report. He was reported dead without further explanation, aged 53. No death certificate has ever been found, the cause of death is unknown, and his entire family went missing without explanation at the same time. |
Barry Jennings was an important eyewitness to the events of 9/11. At the time, he was the Deputy Director of the Emergency Services Department for the New York City Housing Authority. Together with Michael Hess, the New York City Corporation Counsel (an associate of Rudy Giuliani), he was rescued from WTC Building 7 before it collapsed at 5:20 p.m. On several occasions, Jennings stated that an explosion trapped them in WTC Building 7 (before the collapses of WTC 1 & 2) and that explosions occurred throughout the building until they were saved after attracting the attention of a team of firefighters through a broken 8th floor window. Jennings reportedly died in 2008, in highly suspicious circumstances.

Testimony
Barry Jennings publicly shared his experiences with a reporter on the day of the attacks, as well as in a lengthy 2007 video interview with Dylan Avery, a small clip of which was then released; subsequently his job was threatened and he asked that the taped interview not be included in Loose Change Final Cut. However, after an interview with Jennings was broadcast by the BBC in their program 'The Third Tower' ostensibly refuting what he had previously stated to Avery, Avery felt compelled to release the full original video interview to show the distortions made by the BBC.
Jennings testifies that when he got down to the lobby, he was astonished to find it totally ruined. In the 2007 interview he recalls: "[W]hen I came in there, the lobby had nice escalators. It was a huge lobby." But reaching it again, he asks the firefighter who is escorting him, "Where are we?" and the firefighter answers, "This was the lobby." Jennings finds this "unbelievable," and says, "You gotta be kidding me." as the lobby is in "total ruins."
Corroboration
Michael Hess has corroborated Jennings' account of hearing explosions[1] and a 2010 video released by NIST further corroborates Barry Jennings' account. Michael Hess is visible calling through a broken window of the 8th floor of WTC7, calling for help to get down.
Death
Barry Jennings' death remains shrouded in mystery. Loose Change filmmaker Dylan Avery reports that a private investigator he had hired to investigate the case refunded all the fees Avery had paid, referred the case to law enforcement and instructed him never to make contact again.[2]
Official announcement
The only formal announcement of his death was a single announcement at his work place that stated that "regret[ted] to report the passing of ... Barry Jennings on 19 August, 2008." No cause of death was given, no autopsy or death certificate has even been released, and no witnesses to his death have come forward. His family disappeared at the same time. Two days after his death, the release of the NIST Final Report on the collapse of WTC7 claimed that there were no witnesses to explosions in building 7.
Media Blackout
In spite of the significance of Jennings' position with NYC on 9/11 and his testimony regarding the collapse of WTC7, the commercially-controlled media has not investigated or reported significantly on either his statements or his death. His Wikipedia page has twice been deleted as non-notable. 9/11 activist David Slesinger established the domain JenningsMystery.com to try to highlight his story.
What happened?
The lack of documentation on the simultaneous disappearance of Barry Jennings and his entire family is suspicious to say the least, and lack of interest by the commercially-controlled media suggests deep state involvement. Speculation has centered on the corruption of NYPD, suggesting that he was placed a witness protection program and then murdered, together with his entire family.[3]
Rating
A clear description of the activities and testimony of Barry Jennings on the 9/11, and of the unexplained disappearance of him and his family, just days before that testimony was to be contradicted the the 9/11 Commission report.
