The Hogeschool van Amsterdam, University of Applied Sciences (HvA), or Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), is a large institute for higher professional education in the Netherlands, established in 1993. In addition to offering regular higher education, this university of applied sciences also has a broad circle of lecturers who conduct practice-oriented research for education from centers of expertise and in collaboration with social organizations and companies in the region.
