The World Social Forum is a movement backed by the Rockefeller Foundation and Ford Foundations.[1]
Activities
The forum meets annually, usually in January at the same time as its "great capitalist rival", the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. This date is consciously picked to try to establish the WSF in people's minds as the main alternative to the World Economic Forum.
