DescriptionAn Israeli invasion of Egypt. The attack on the USS Liberty may have been intended to bring US into the war on the side of Israel

A document from 2017 by the Israeli Archives suggests that U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson organised the attack on the USS Liberty (on the 8 June 1967) in an attempt to blame the Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser - to provide a casus belli to facilitate the US entry into the 1967 Six-Day War.[1]
