"President of the Counter-Terrorism Commission of the Italian Atlantic Committee, Prof. Vittorfranco Pisano is a leading expert on the definition and analysis of the terrorist threat. Head of the Security and Intelligence Department at the International University of Social Sciences – UNINTESS, Prof. Pisano is a retired US Army Colonel who served in military police and general staff assignments in the United States and Europe for over thirty years. Former consultant at the US Senate Subcommittee on Security and Terrorism, he has also taught in various academic institutions, including Georgetown University and the Defense Intelligence College in Washington, DC, Troy State University – European Region in Kaiserslautern, Germany, as well as the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute in Turin, “La Sapienza” University in Rome, Roma Tre University, Link Campus University of Malta and John Cabot University in Rome. He is the author of over 200 books and articles on security, intelligence, and unconventional conflicts in English or Italian. He holds degrees in Political Science and Law."[1]
