The Tendring News Channel is here for all Tendring District Council area residents to give their opinions, help and input about issues and concerns within Tendring.
William Hones says:
- "There are many problems in this small District and the Council are responsible, but not very accountable.
- "One big problem with our Council is that we have sixty Councillors and that's too many when compared to other Councils.
- "Lets not forget they just added another three seats to the Cabinet at an additional cost to the Tendring tax payer of over £400,000 in the next four years.
- "And some of the District Councillors are also paid even more as County Councillors. A District Councillor on the Cabinet of Tendring who is also a County Councillor is getting £25,000 a year or more for just a few hours each week.
- "There are also plenty of good things that happen here in Tendring which more people need to be informed about. I need local people to contact me regarding events and problems that cause them concerns."[1]
