Template talk:MH17 timeline event

Tidying up

I'm not up to speed on how timelines work, but one template per timeline looks like a bad move. I would suggest (without having looked at exactly how timelines work) either:

1. Template:Timeline Event; or
2. Adding a timeline parameter on the ordinary Template:Event (preferred option, if it can be made to work)

Agreed it looks a mess but it IS dead easy to use at present and that needs to remain so. Each timeline event-set has its own form too and the correct form is selected by reference to the category so: unique template-form-category combination for each set of timeline events at present. It works and I don't (personally) feel inclined to get bogged-down making it more elegant at present but, by all means have a go. I do think that the separate Template:Timeline Event option above would be a lot simpler to implement though. --Peter P (talk) 06:42, 10 August 2014 (IST)
