Mass murderers, often presented as "lone nuts", without connection to deep state activities or mind control research projects.

A serial killer is a person who murders three or more people due to abnormal psychological conditions or in cult settings. The murders are taking place over more than a month and have a significant period of time between them[Says who?] (though some authorities have different parameters).

The US had a period in the 60s, 70s and 80s with many active serial killers. Some of these murders were probably cult activity.

Misrepresentation

CCM has contributed to a public perception that majors on the "lone nut" angle and minimises the killers (common) connections to mind control projects or other spooky activity.[1]
