Mary Miller is an American Republican Member of Congress. Within days of being sworn in, Mrs Miller was the victim of media attacks after making controversial comments.

Opinions

She voted for the Repeal of the 2002 AUMF.

On 19 March 2021, she was one of 14 House Republicans to vote against a measure condemning the Myanmar coup d'état.

In June 2021, Miller was one of 21 House Republicans to vote against a resolution to give the Congressional Gold Medal to police officers who defended the U.S. Capitol on January 6. She questioned the ON around the 2021 Washington D.C. Riots.

“If we win a few elections, we’re still going to be losing unless we win the hearts and minds of our children. This is the battle, Hitler was right on one thing. ‘Whoever has the youth has the future”
Mary Miller (6 January 2021)  [1]

Criticism

Accused of antisemitism by the ADL after quoting Hitler. Despite apologising[2], powerful politicians like Governor J. B. Pritzker demanded she resign from Congress.[3] Jan Schakowsky introduced a measure to censure Miller.
