Lumina Foundation is a private, Indianapolis-based foundation with about $1.4 billion in assets, and together with other big foundations, Lumina dominates higher education money flows today. Its concentrates on education issues, but also gives money to some noticeable deep state think tanks.

Lumina directs its money to various organizations and programs in pursuit of the goal of increasing the proportion of Americans with “high-quality” degrees and credentials to 60 percent, up from 40 percent today.[1]
