Until 2021 a women only college at Cambridge University |
The Lucy Cavendish College is one of 31 colleges of the University of Cambridge in the UK. This college for women, founded in 1965, historically welcomes post-graduate students. In March 2019 Lucy Cavendish announced its intention to begin admitting both women and men from the standard university age, with effect from October 2021.[1]
The college was founded in 1965 by female academics of the University of Cambridge who believed that the university offered too few and too restricted opportunities for women as either students or academics.
